Product Description

The Laronda estate, in prestigious Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania was designed by famed architect Addison Mizner (1872 – 1933) who is well known for his work in Southern Florida.

The 232 acre, 17,500 square foot estate was originally designed for leather tycoon Perceival Foerderer. The estate was comprised of 51 total rooms including 21 bedrooms with various other buildings and top notch gardens upon its completion in 1929. Laronda was Mizner’s only commission North of the Mason-Dixon Line and a historically significant undertaking. Mizner designed Laronda in the Mediterranean Revival style much like has famous buildings that shaped the architecture of Southern Florida.

Unfortunately the famous Laronda estate could not be saved and was slated for demolition in the Fall of 2009. Fortunately, many of the architectural elements that comprised this great and important building were saved.

These limestone figures were weep holes that were located under the center exterior of the Laronda windowsills.

Each one is 6"w x 5"h x 5"d. With stand, approximately 14" tall.
