Vintage 1910 wood box from the British Minoru horse racing game.
The game of Minoru was originally marketed from 1905 to 1910 as “The Ascot Racing Game”. 
However, after Minoru, King Edward VII’s horse, had a championship year in 1909 the Jaques company changed the name of the game to reflect the glory.
